so the first day of school went well. met the second years in the unit, the tutors as well - toby and colin. nice guys, tobys a tutor in technology for the tech module so i'd assume our unit is going to be very techy. but thats to be seen yet. and also, big news - field trip this year is to ICELAND. fucking iceland!! its going to be amazing, i cant wait for it. leaving at the end of October.
no signs of any tutorial for the dissertation but we'll see how that goes. im already one day behind and thats BAD.
so the unit this year is about performance. i already decided on my performance - hand-printing. i'll do a linocut today and film it, and monday i'll pop in the oxford printmakers cooperative to see the machines and different techniques and to talk with the guys there. they said mondays are usually quieter.
also went on a workshop for small kids today called "ready steady color" for coloring plates with "ketchup", "mustard" and so on. it was so fun, although it was for children. it was for the performance research but i had a good time anyways.
still not sent thomas's present. its so bad. its on my desk and i look at it every day, thinking where the fuck am i going to find the time to go to the post office and send it off finally. i'll have to do it monday so i know im done with it and dont have to bother anymore.
went to an 80s party yesterday at ben and kierans. me and tin went to primark before to buy some ugly shit we're never going to wear again in eye-blinding colors like yellow and orange. seriously, i looked like a road sign or a bikers safe shirt, you know, the yellow ones. but i think i was very authentic, haha.
wednesday lena did a sushi night again - always on freshers week before the craze has started. was so fun, thats when i met tin. she studies in germany, frankfurt, doing a semester abroad here, in my uni. she's very fun!
im off to rehabilitating now, before i actually die because of this cold.
